You can always do MOR
Feeding our local community the best we can!
Your donations will contribute 100% towards things such as any paper goods used in hosting a community meal ( go containers, utensils, napkins ) and additional food or drink items that are not covered by a volunteer. MOR Baton Rouge is currently NOT a non profit organization and we rely on our volunteers to sign up and donate a portion of each planned meal every two weeks.
We want MOR to be for everyone. Aside from our active volunteers, we encourage any and all others from the community to become involved in helping their community. Contact us directly to see how you can contribute. Your time and resources are welcome.

My name is Markelle Pitre. I am a Baton Rouge Native of 37 years. I formed MOR Baton Rouge in December 2020. Feeding the community has been something especially important to me. I believe everyone deserves the basic rights of decency and food. After moving back to Louisiana in 2017 from spending a few years in California, I dedicated my time to feeding the local homeless and needy with another organization in the downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. I wanted to do more and expand hot meals to the community on other days. Thus, MOR Baton Rouge was born. Currently I am partnered with Cindy Wonderful and her non profit Chez Fab. We host community meals every other Sunday at 1439 Myrtle Walk at Wonderground.
We strive to provide hot meals that are well planned and cooked with love to those who are either homeless or others that are simply going through a lack of food security in their homes. We also provide clean and gently used clothing items as well as hygiene items. We are currently working on creating an environment for our community to come together. A meeting place for friends.
